1. Definitions

  • “Company”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”: Refers to Movers UK (Heathrow) Ltd.
  • “Client”, “You”, “Your”: Refers to the person or company contracting our services.
  • “Goods”: Items to be moved, packed, or stored.
  • “Services”: All services provided including packing, moving, storage, and transportation.

2. Quotation and Booking

2.1 Quotations are valid for 30 days.

2.2 Quotations are based on the information supplied by the client.

2.3 A 30% deposit is required to confirm the booking.

2.4 Booking is confirmed upon receipt of deposit and written confirmation.

2.5 Balance is due upon completion of the move.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment must be made immediately upon completion of the move, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.2 Invoices not paid on the day of service may incur late payment charges at 5% per month, calculated daily.

3.3 We reserve the right to use debt recovery services. The client will be liable for all associated recovery costs, including legal fees.

3.4 Acceptable payment methods: bank transfer, card, or cash.

4. Cancellation and Postponement

4.1 Cancellations made more than 7 days prior: deposit refunded minus £50 fee.

4.2 Less than 7 days: deposit is non-refundable.

4.3 If we cancel due to force majeure, we will reschedule or refund the deposit.

5. Packing and Preparation

5.1 All goods must be securely and sufficiently packed for safe transport. This is the client’s responsibility unless packing is booked.

5.2 Televisions must be boxed; fragile or delicate furniture, mirrors, and artwork must be bubble wrapped or protected.

5.3 We accept no liability for damage to inadequately packed or unprotected goods.

5.4 Packing services available on request, subject to additional charge.

6. Disassembling and Assembling

6.1 Furniture disassembly/assembly must be requested at booking.

6.2 We do not connect/disconnect appliances.

6.3 Charges apply for disassembly/assembly if agreed in advance.

7. Parking and Access

7.1 Clients must arrange suitable parking and permits.

7.2 Parking fines due to client oversight will be added to the final bill.

7.3 Delays due to restricted access may incur additional charges.

8. Inventory and Exclusions

8.1 Accurate inventory must be provided.

8.2 We do not move hazardous, illegal, perishable, or live items.

8.3 We reserve the right to refuse unsafe items.

9. Insurance

9.1 Clients should arrange appropriate insurance.

9.2 Insurance can be arranged at extra cost.

9.3 Without specific insurance, liability is limited to £40 per item.

10. Liability

10.1 We are not liable for damage caused by improper packing, acts of God, or third parties.

10.2 No liability for indirect or consequential loss.

10.3 Claims must be made in writing within 48 hours.

10.4 Liability is limited to the lower of insured value or item value.

11. Delays and Force Majeure

11.1 We are not liable for delays beyond our control.

11.2 We will notify clients of delays and complete the service as soon as possible.

12. Subcontracting

12.1 We may subcontract services.

12.2 Subcontractors are bound by these same terms.

13. Storage

13.1 Storage available on request with separate charges.

13.2 Stored goods are subject to inventory and insurance agreement.

14. Complaints and Disputes

14.1 Complaints must be submitted within 48 hours of service.

14.2 We will respond within 14 days.

14.3 Unresolved disputes will go to mediation before legal action.

15. Data Protection

15.1 We handle personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws.

15.2 Data is used only to fulfil contractual services.

16. Governing Law

16.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

16.2 Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of English courts.

17. Amendments

17.1 We may amend these terms at any time.

17.2 The latest version is available on our website.
